Individual Executive Function Therapy for Children and Adults

Befriend your brain for your best outcomes.

Investigation, Not Prescription.

Executive function is about choice, it’s about social connection, and it’s about finding common ground by understanding our own singular strengths.

Feelings of stuckness, laziness, loneliness, and inefficiency are not defects of your character. They may color how you feel and function on the daily, but they say nothing of who you are, your inherent value, or what you’re capable of.

What they do indicate is that your brain could use some support.

Executive function therapy can allow you to recognize your current neurological and behavioral patterns (without stigma!) and set realistic expectations that are backed by follow through.

Wherever you experience avoidance, resistance, or difficulty taking action or expressing yourself, executive function is likely a factor! Paying attention to and learning how to work with your brain’s natural ways of operating can allow you to put the function back into your daily life.

Executive function therapy can enhance the quality of your attention and action:

We have the ability to positively influence our executive function at any age, so it’s never too late, or early, to learn how to collaborate with your brain.

We offer individual therapy sessions, evaluations, and parent consultations in-person at our home office in Northwest Austin and online via telehealth. Personalized therapeutic support and treatment is for children, teens, and adults of all ages.

Individual Therapy

Explore and build on your own or your child’s existing levels of executive function and social communication to create a foundation for greater ease and action with purpose.

Together we’ll meet you where your capacity is in this moment in time and gently investigate choice points so you can find new ways of interacting with your tasks, yourself, and the people around you.

Sessions prioritize the individual goals and needs we identify throughout treatment, with a focus on strategies to improve organizational, planning, time management, and communication skills for more effective, efficient, and connective outcomes.

Individual Session: $190, 50 minutes

Evaluations

Depending on your needs, your treatment might benefit from comprehensive evaluations, supplemental testings, screenings, and/or evaluation reviews.

Results of these findings inform the direction of your comprehensive treatment plan, and allow us to provide accommodations, recommendations for tools, and strategies to address attention, organization, planning, and time management skills as well as developing a deeper understanding of how to navigate the social world.

Dynamic Evaluation: $2000 for three to four 60 minute observation and interview sessions
Additional time and commitment is dependent on agreed on treatment.

Caregiver Consultations

Receive targeted education for how you can support your child with executive function skills and social communication. Consultations for parents and caregivers can provide specialized resources and tools to use at home, in school, and in the community to ease your child’s relationship with themselves and the world around them.

Discuss strategies for specific social communication and executive function challenges to create a more consistent foundation for emotional regulation, making and keeping friends, social cognition, understanding nonverbal and figurative language, task management, daily routines, direction following, and managing personal spaces and materials.

Caregiver Consult Session: $200, 60 minutes
